Pao C
Born in New Jersey living in Bogotá, Colombia Pao c started her career in 2005 guided by Dj Nick, and Dj Gerard. Her career quickly took off as she acquired a personal style which turned her into one of the leading Colombian female dj’s.
Pao’s sound is indefinable. Very few DJs can transition from one genre to another with a fluid sense of what the dance floor wants, yet pao effortlessly fuses music styles together such as house, progressive, and techouse to create one great night of dance music. Her trademark pumping, energetic basslines and tough, yet uplifting melodies lead the dance floor into a hot, sexy, sultry vibe in a way that very few DJs can. Her music is at the crossing of techouse and progressive house with strong electro house influences. Pao’s sets demonstrate mixing skills and eclecticism. In Bogotá she becomes one of the official residents for one of the best local clubs: CINEMA. in 2006 she was voted best dj, and selected winner in the Smirnoff dj contest. Since then she has been spreading her sound around the country in places such as: Medellin, Manizales, Cucuta, Santa Marta, Barranquilla, Cali and Bucaramanga, and also in Latinamerica in some of the best clubs of Ecuador including Guyaquil and Quito, in Argentina, Buenos Aires, and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
She has had the opportunity to play with important international dj’s such as JOHN ACQUAVIVA, DARREN PRICE (UNDERWORLD), guy gerber, deep mariano, ana flavia, felipe volumen, mastyksoul, john julius knight, patrcick m, saeed younan, aidan lavelle, troll, marcello castelli, dj yellow, isa b, julio largente, niki belucci, audiofly, mr gil, joeski, mike hiratzka, qba, exercise one, ame, bruno from ibiza, austin leeds and djulz. She has also played in a very important fashion event in Bogotá, ¨ BOGOTA – CIRCULO DE LA MODA¨ SEPTEMBER 2005 where she played a session of chill house, lounge, and jazzy house. She has been invited to play many times, and also selected dj of the week at a very important radio show in Bogotá, called electro groove sessions at ¨la superestacion¨. In september 2007 she played in one of the most important parties of the year “NOKIA TRENDS HOUSE”.
Her most recent project is a 14 hour session of bossa nova, chill out, lounge, down tempo for one of the most important restaurants in Colombia: CREPES AND WAFFLES.
